The British buy property overseas. They buy in the sun, they buy in the mountains and they buy in the countryside. They buy for many reasons. A holiday home abroad, a holiday home with rental income, a permanent move overseas or just for investment.
Whatever the reasons people have for buying property overseas, the first things they do are search the internet, log on to the property portals, attend property exhibitions and watch property programmes on the television. They also read the newspaper property articles and - more recently - subscribe to the property blogs on the web.
If you are an overseas builder or developer it is vitally important that the properties you are selling to the British are easily available to them. Your properties need to be on all the best overseas property web sites, top of the list on the best property portals, on display at the property exhibitions and featured in the newspaper articles and discussions on the property blogs.
To achieve this, the major multinational builders and developers open offices here in Britain, mostly in London. They have permanent sales and marketing teams and are easily available to potential property buyers via a UK telephone number. For most companies however, particularly the small to medium sized builders and developers, this type of commitment is simply not possible due to the costs involved. Property Partners International offers these companies the opportunity to sell to the British public via all these channels, at a fraction of the cost of setting up a fully-fledged UK operation.
Our clients are property developers and builders from all over the world who want a UK presence to sell to the British public. Working with Property Partners International you share in the costs of having a sales office in London and promoting your properties on all the major web sites, portals, property exhibitions and property blogs. Effectively having a presence in London allows you to compete with the major multinational property developers and gives the British property buyers the reassurance of knowing that they can deal with you via a UK telephone number.
How does it work? →
We receive all of the enquiries from the portals, the web sites, advertising and the exhibitions. We then take the following action.
The Property Partners International sales team make the first phone call. They ask if the contact is gathering information or if they now want to seriously discuss buying one of your properties.
If the potential buyers are actively looking for property we ask them how much they want to pay and where and when do they want to buy. From this point our aim is to get them to agree a date to fly to your destination and inspect the properties you have for sale. Our partners now receive an e mail telling them that we are in discussion with a potential purchaser and we will be sending more information as it becomes available.
If they are not quite ready to buy we refer them to your own web site and send them copies of your brochure, if available. A week later we follow that with a second phone call.
The name and details such as e mail address and phone numbers of all contacts are added to our database and they become part of our regular promotions programme.
Property Inspection Visits
Some of our partners in Europe contribute to prospective purchasers' flight costs and hotel accommodation by creating
an inclusive inspection visit package. In our experience the higher the prospective purchaser's budget is then less
likely they are to want an all inclusive inspection visit. Our partners with properties that are over 4 hours flight
time from the UK rarely contribute to the flight costs. But as part of the sales closure process our partners will
occasionally refund part of the flight costs.
Hospitality in resort
It is normal practise that our partners supply a degree of hospitality to prospective purchasers. This can include
airport transfers, meals and hotel accommodation. It varies from partner to partner and all we ask is that we know
what our partners' policy is before the prospective purchaser sets the travel dates.
Report to Property Partners International
After the site visit our partners send us a full review of the visit.

There are many property portals to choose from and we continually trial them all. It is recognized that over 75% of property buyers start their search on the internet. They scroll through the property portals to get an idea of product they like at a price they can afford. So it is vitally important that your property is on the portals. Property Partners International will place your properties on the right portal and at the right time. At the moment we are working with the following sites (in no particular order):
RightMove.co.uk is the leading property portal in the UK. The site attracts over 400,000 visitors a day and the international section has properties from over 60 countries. It is an easy site to use but the majority of visitors are looking for property in the UK. The user profile is very general with some emphasis on low prices.
PrimeLocation.com is one of the UK's leading property websites. The site attracts more than 130,000 visitors a day and the international section has properties from over 50 countries. It has a sophisticated look to the site and is easy to use. The user profile indicates that the site visitors tend to come from the upper and middle markets.
APlaceInTheSun.com is dedicated to overseas property and does not feature any property in the UK. The site features the star of the TV show and has a link to the property exhibition in the same name. The site has more than 4,000 visitors a day and these are all visitors looking for property overseas. The user profile indicates that the majority of visitors are looking for a family home in the sun or permanent living.
